On Sight, Nod
A downloadable game
An arcade game about traveling abroad and the power of cultural mannerisms.
It can be difficult to feel comfortable while traveling in new places. Especially when you're #travelingwhileblack. Being greeted and acknowledged by other people helps but there's something special about seeing your cultural family.
Greet and be greeted by people on the street via gestures. Use your "sense" to identify people on the street. Choose the right gesture to use for each person you make eye contact with. Sometimes you make eye contact with people and sometimes people make eye contact with you. Be ready, not everyone is friendly!
Oh, and DON'T use your special gesture on the wrong people. That's for family only.
Can you stay comfy and at ease while walking to streets to reach your dinner spot? Or will you go back to your Airbnb and try again tomorrow?
Made... For Da Cuture
"One of the things I love most about being black is that no matter where I go in the world, when I see another black person and nod, "what's up", we all know what it means and do it back. Feels good, like "yeah, we out here."
